About the Brand

Dade County has been home for my entire life. When I’m away, I always put on for this place. It’s a part of my being, the fabric of my life and who I am, really. Being born & raised here isn’t just a fact. It is a mind state. There’s a culture here that has made so many around me who we are. That pride runs deep but it all comes from the same place.

When I created this visual communication identity for Miami, I just wanted a way to display this pride. Inspired by local brands other renditions to represent to “305”, I was immediately inspired to make it a permanent mark on me. This led to being inspired by everything that represents this pride through my experiences in my Miami.

I’ve told plenty of people that there is a cultural awakening here. The community finally realizes its worth, the power it has, and most importantly, how far unity can take us. I’m just here to play my part. Whenever you see this artwork, understand that I’m showing the pride that comes with being born & raised in Dade County. Ultimately, I hope it resonates with others so they too can share in the same pride.
